Tartu linnamuuseumi näitus jutustab linnaosade lugusid kohalike silme läbi | Muuseumid

Tartu linnamuuseumis avatud näitus “Meie Tartu” räägib linnaosade lugusid tänapäeva tartlaste silme läbi.

Näituse koostamiseks käisid kuraatorid 18 linnaosas inimestel külas ning kogusid kokku sadu lugusid ja esemeid.

Tartlased on oodatud ka edaspidi oma asju ja lugusid näitusele lisama.

Muuseum on uut näitust oodanud kaua.

“Eelmine näitus oli ju üle 22 aasta siin. Teatud põhjustel erinevad plaanid, mis siin on olnud, on kaks korda edasi lükatud. /…/ Me ise mõtlesime, et see on natuke punk-näitus, see on tehtud väga lühikese aja jooksul, vähem kui pooleteise aastaga. Samas selliseid näitusi tavaliselt tehakse kolme-nelja aastaga. Meil oli kultuuripealinna aasta tulemas ja me võtsime kokku inimesed, Tartu linna inimesed kaasasime ja tänu nendele saime selle valmis,” selgitas linnamuuseumi direktor Risto Lehiste.

The museum’s unique approach has given us a glimpse into the lives of Tartu’s residents, from the city’s humble beginnings to its current thriving state. Through personal stories and artifacts, we have gained a newfound appreciation for the city’s rich history and cultural heritage. As we depart, we are reminded of the importance of preserving and sharing our stories, and the impact it can have on our sense of identity and community.”
