Hamilton Lõpetas Pikale Veninud Võidupõua

Vormel-1 MM-etapi Suurbritannias Silverstone’i ringrajal võitis Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), kes teenis etapivõidu enam kui kaheaastase vahe järel.

Seitsmekordne maailmameister heitles kogu sõidu esikoha nimel MM-sarja liidri Max Verstappeniga (Red Bull), kuid suutis hollandlase rünnakuid edukalt tõrjuda ja võttis lõpuks võidu 1,5-sekundilise eduga. Pjedestaali viimasele astmele astus Lando Norris (McLaren; +7,547).

Üheksandat korda Silverstone’is triumfeerinud Hamiltonile oli see esimeseks etapivõiduks pärast 2021. aasta detsembris toimunud Saudi Araabia GP-d.

“See oli minu viimane sõit siin Mercedese roolis. Ma armastan seda meeskonda, tahtsin nii väga neile võidu maitset pakkuda kõikide nende aastate eest, mil oleme koos olnud. Pole paremat tunnet kui Silverstone’is võita,” sõnas Hamilton võistluse järel.

Punktidele sõitsid end veel Oscar Piastri (McLaren; +12,429), Carlos Sainz Jr. (Ferrari; +47,318), Nico Hülkenberg (Haas; +55,722), Aston Martini piloodid Lance Stroll (+56,569) ja Fernando Alonso (+63,577), Alexander Albon (Williams; +68,387) ja Yuki Tsunoda (RB; +79,303).

MM-sarja kokkuvõttes kasvas Verstappeni edumaa Norrise ees 84 punkti peale. Neile järgnevad Ferrari piloodid Charles Leclerc (150 p) ja Sainz Jr. (146 p), viies on Piastri (124 p).
