Bagnaia Pikendas Võiduseeriat, Martin Katkestas Liidrikohalt

Mootorrataste ringrajasõidu MM-etapil Saksamaal Sachsenringil saavutas MotoGP klassis esikoha valitsev maailmameister itaallane Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati; 40.40,063), kes läheb suvepausile vastu sarja üldliidrina.

Otsustavad sündmused leidsid aset kaks ringi enne võistluse lõppu, kui liidrikohta hoidnud Jorge Martin (Prima) sõitis rajalt välja ning oli sunnitud katkestama.

Martini katkestamise järel tõusis liidriks Bagnaia, kes sõitis võiduka lõpuni. Itaallase jaoks oli tegemist neljanda järjestikuse ja kokku kuuenda etapivõiduga.

“Võit ei tulnud lihtsalt. Ma proovisin alguses kõike, kuid Jorge [Martin] ja Franco [Morbidelli] olid lihtsalt liiga kiired. Minu arvates nad surusid liiga palju. Viimasel kahel-kolmel ringil märkasin, et Jorge hakkas vigu tegema,” rääkis Bagnaia võistluse järel.

Bagnaiale järgnesid vennad Marc Marquez (Greisini; +3,804) ja Alex Marquez (Greisini; +4,334). Hispaanlastest said 27-aastase vaheaja järel esimesed vennad, kes MotoGP klassis koos pjedestaalile mahtunud.

Neljandana lõpetas itaallane Enea Bastianini (Ducati; +5,317), viies oli tema kaasmaalane Franco Morbidelli (Prima; +5,557).

MM-sarja kokkuvõttes jätkab 222 punktiga liidrina Bagnaia, kuid Martin jääb maha vaid 10 punktiga. Kolmas on Marc Marquez (166 p), neljas Bastianini (155 p) ja viies hispaanlane Maverick Vinales (125 p).
