Ungari peaminister Viktor Orbani uus paremäärmuslik rühmitus ületas Euroopa Parlamendis künnise, et moodustada fraktsioon nimega “Patrioodid Euroopa eest”.

Ungari peaminister Viktor Orban teatas juuni lõpus, et soovib luua koos Austria Vabaduspartei juhi Herbert Kickli ja Tšehhi endise peaministri Andrej Babišiga Euroopa Parlamendis uue parteirühma nimega “Patrioodid Euroopa eest”.

Laupäeval ühinesid Orbani loodud europarlamendi uue rühmaga Taani Rahvapartei ja flaami paremäärmuslik Vlaams Belang ning selle tagajärjel sai täidetud tingimus, et fraktsiooni peab kuuluma kokku 23 saadikut seitsmest riigist.

Orban teatas, et parteide esindajad kohtuvad esmaspäeval Brüsselis.

Esmaspäevaks saab Ungari valitsusjuht ka teada, kas temaga liitub ka Prantsusmaa parempopulistlik Rahvuslik Liit (RN).

Kui ka Marine Le Peni Rahvuslik Liit “Patriootidega” ühineb, saab “Patriootidest” suuruselt kolmas fraktsioon Euroopa Parlamendis.

Uue koalitsiooni vastu on huvi tundnud ka Itaalia erakond Liiga, mida juhib Matteo Salvini. Esialgu pole ta aga oma ühinemissoovist teada antud.
