Eesti tennisist Daniil Glinka (ATP 495.) võitis Inglismaal Loughborough’s toimuval ITF-i turniiril endise maailma 14. reketi Kyle Edmundi vastu avaseti, kuid pidi lõpuks siiski kaotuse vastu võtma.

Glinkal õnnestus nimeka vastase vastu murda palling kohe esimeses geimis ja selle toel avasett 6:4 võita. Teises setis sai ainsa murde kätte Edmund, kes asus 4:2 juhtima ja peagi vormistas 6:3 võidu.

Otsustavas setis murdis Edmund kahel korral Glinka servi ning kunagine Briti esinumber võttis pisut enam kui kaks tundi kestnud kohtumises lõpuks 4:6, 6:3, 6:2 võidu.

Edmund läheb veerandfinaalis vastamisi itaallase Fausto Tabaccoga (ATP 528.), kes kukutas 7:6 (4), 6:3 võiduga konkurentsist neljandana asetatud Raphael Collignoni (ATP 382.).
